After six years of not breeding, relocating to Euroa Horse Park and starting all over again, it occured to me that I had these lovely broodmares and it seemed such a waste not to use them.
I had a friend agisting her eight Gypsy Cobs (including 3 stallions) with me and I learnt first hand about their lovely, kind and gracious temperaments.
At the same time, I had been working with a number of people who had various disabilities and it occured to me that having a harness horse would be great fun for them as well as give them another experience and more freedom.
I decided that I'd like to breed with the Gypsy Cob to see what I could produce to achieve this. I also knew that the Irish Sport Horse and the Thoroughbred cross with the Gypsy Cob were popular as riding horses overseas.
This is Kintara Blacksmith a black, 14.3hh Gypsy Cob stallion who is the sire of my first four foals. He has since been gelded and I have purchased him to use for harness and coaching purposes. He has an exceptional temperament which he has passed onto his offspring. There are more photos and videos on my Facebook profile.
The 2022/23 and the 2023/24 breeding seasons produced lovely foals by Kintara Heartbreaker (Red) who is pictured at the bottom of the page.
